Note: You can continue to use the existing version (8.1.1, see Help🡪 About) of Summit until your expiry date. However, it is advisable to update to the new version (8.1.2) as soon as possible to establish your record in the new system and ensure seamless future actions.
The Summit version 9.0.x, with the 9th Edition 2026 FL Energy Code, is expected to be released in August 2026. At that time, all licensees must update to run the 9th Edition 2026 Code calculations.

All functionality will remain the same as before.
Option 1: If you purchase a new license:
- Uninstall existing EnergyGauge Summit Software
- Download the latest install package (currently 8.1.2)
- Install the new version
- Use the activation key sent with your purchase to activate Summit
Option 2: Updating with an existing activation key
- Uninstall existing EnergyGauge Summit Software
- Download the latest install package (currently 8.1.2)
- Install the new version
- Use your existing activation key to activate Summit
How to get your existing activation key
Open your EnergyGauge Summit Software and on the startup page, note your activation key and expiry date. See screenshot below:
You can also obtain your activation key as follows:
At the top menus, go to 🡪 Help🡪 License…. Click on the “Get License Info from the Server” Button.
On the page that opens, you can get your activation key by going to the link that says
“Email License Leys”
